Material: Ink on coloured paper
I was inspired by a trip to the Vicktor Wynd Museum to create this piece. The museum includes hundreds of weird artefacts and specimens that have been collected over a lifetime. I was particularly intrigued by a small ‘mumified fairy.’
I wanted to experiment using inks, a medium I hope to explore more during the second semester. I was inspired by the work of Delaine Le Bas, specifically her submission for the 2024 Turner Prize, shown at the Tate Britain. I loved the loose and expressive nature of the work, as well as the weird imagery.
