Materials: wire, string and scrap canvas
Poppets are traditionally used in Witchcraft to represent a person, or themselves, and possess properties for healing, protection and manifestation. In this instance, the Poppet represents a side of myself that I am leaving behind in my current journey of self discovery and finding self love. I leave behind my dependence on alcohol, denial of my mental health struggles and any negative energy previously intertwined in my life. To make this work I used wire to create the shape of a body, wrapped the wire frame with string and then tied a piece of canvas over its head.
